Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a creative, flexible, and enthusiastic speech language pathologist to join our daycare/preschool support team. This speech pathologist would join a collaborative team of Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists to provide in classroom support for children with developmental support needs. The SLP would work collaboratively ro screen any new children who enroll and provide consultation, support, and education to a dedicated team of teachers and caregivers.
This SLP would also care for a small caseload of their own in the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive screening of major developmental areas for children 0-5
- Develop individualized support plans for identified children that may be implemented in a classroom
- Make individualized recommendations based on skilled observation and screening results
- Provide weekly group based instruction to support speech, language, and communication development
- Collaborate weekly with interdisciplinary team
- Provide tailored education, consultation, and support to early learning instructors and care staff
- Evaluate and treat small caseload of pediatric clients including:
- Completing strengths based assessments of speech, language, social communication, voice, and cognition
- Developing individualized care plans
- Providing parent education
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Washington State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- 3 years of pediatric experience is preferred
- Experience educating and training parents, caregivers, and other community members
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Experience supporting individual children within a group setting
Pay and Benefits
- Part-time or Full-time Position available
- $40-$48/hr
